Wedding Photographer in Boulder at Chautauqua Park

A Wedding on the Lawn at Chautauqua is a beautiful place in town, close to hotels and easy to access for guests whether they’re in Colorado or coming in from out of state.

Christina and Gerry’s wedding day was beautiful. It was bright, sometimes very windy and then got a bit cloudy, but this is a standard afternoon in Colorado.

In the early afternoon, Eleanor and I arrived to take getting ready photos, create flat lays with keepsake items and document Christina and Gerry preparing for their first look!

Once Christina and Gerry were ready, we set them up in a private lawn area of the cottages they were staying in near Chautauqua.

The cottages are available HERE to be rented out for weddings and guests to stay in that are within walking distance from the lawn area where large weddings take place.

Their first look was quiet and beautiful. These two also read their vows to each other in this special moment. We also walked to a trail near the Chautauqua Auditorium for a few scenic couples portraits.

As they made their way to the lawn for their ceremony, Gerry revealed a surprise for Christina in the park near the cottages.

As they made their way to the lawn at Chautauqua for the ceremony, their adorable dog made an entrance with the best man, Christina’s father led her down the aisle and the sun was shining so bright! It was a gorgeous afternoon for a wedding.

Their guests made their way up to the cocktail area where there was live music, food and even a postcard-making table to send well wishes to the newlyweds. Including personalized things like this on your wedding day is so important. It becomes so meaningful to you and your loved ones there to celebrate.

Their reception was held inside a larger cottage near the ones they were getting ready in earlier in the day. It is designed for larger events like weddings and has an upper level inside with plenty of tables, room for food and dancing.

We ended the day by taking sunset portraits at Chautauqua. The soft light after the sun disappears behind the mountains is always lovely. We only took about ten minutes or so to take photos so they could get back to their celebration, but most couples say that it’s nice to get outside for even a few minutes and re-center themselves for the rest of the night to socialize and dance with their loved ones.

Moab, Utah - May 2025

This was my second trip to Moab. The first trip was back in 2015. That trip was a roadtrip from the midwest and was a 2 week vacation. This trip was only a long weekend that we drove out to from Denver and it was equally incredible.

We camped on a BLM site about 20 minutes from Moab. It was open and windy, but there was a big structure that gave us shade while it was scorching hot during the day.

Each day, we drove to Moab and explored a new area. We woke up at 4am one day to hike to Delicate arch and get ahead of the warmest part of the day. We found an awesome waterfall and river where we spent each afternoon to cool off. And we visited Canyonlands on one day as well. This was another early start to the day and it was the right decision since the entrance line around Memorial Day weekend was very long.

CU Boulder Graduation Photographer in Boulder

Graduation photos for Jackie were extra special because she had never visited campus since completing her degree remotely in the midwest!

We navigated the crowds of other graduates and made the most of each location on Campus near Varsity Lake, Macky Auditorium and Norlin Quad. The crowds and a little bit of chaos on graduation day are worth navigating to have your photos taken professionally. I will always encourage celebrating your accomplishments on graduation weekend :)

Band: Hazel Miller

Mary and Jim’s wedding in Boulder was full of beautiful moments with their family and friends who flew in from many different states to be there to celebrate.

Mary’s new last name is Rose, so the theme of roses was included in her bouquet and centerpieces. Their ceremony took place above the hotel lobby of the Boulderado. The stained glass ceiling, dark wood railings and old features are some of my favorites for moody photos.

During the ceremony, Mary’s daughter and nieces sang “Can’t Help Falling in Love with You” before the vows. It was a special moment and most people were crying, myself included.

After the ceremony, Mary and Jim walked around the mezanine to be showered in rose petals by their guests. The reception was lively with music from Hazel Miller and her band. She got everyone on the dance floor with her warm and upbeat energy.

The day was inspiring to see love being found in different times of life and things working out exactly as they should for this beautiful couple.

Jewelry and Product Photos in Boulder

All photos of these pieces are available at Vanessa’s online shop: Creativeness by Vanessa. She also attends pop up events in Denver to sell her jewelry and crystals.

If you have small products for inventory to sell in store or online, this is a great session to invest in to enhance the quality and detail of images on your website. The photos can be used for promotion on your website, flash sales on instagram, storefront images for Etsy and more.

This kind of shoot can be done at your store if you have one, a space in your home or a studio. I also offer to take products to my home if they are small and portable. This is a good option if you’re local to the Boulder area and you have a lot of small pieces that you need individual photos of each item.

There are studios in Denver available for hourly rent that are good options if you’re looking for a specific environment that can’t be achieved with a backdrop of my own.

I produce as many photos as there are products unless there are different combinations of products to photograph. I offer my styling expertise, bring my own lighting as well as some props and backdrops for small products.
