Seasonal photos with extended family are always worth it!

Years pass quickly and it’s easy to go years without getting a photo with all of your family together. Ever sine I moved away from Illinois, I make at least one trip back each year and we always take a family photo with my parents, sister and our dog. It is so worth it to have the memories.

Riverbend Lyons Wedding Photographer - Lyons, Colorado

If you want to have a mountain wedding on a river, then the Riverbend in Lyons, CO is a great option.

This venue has plenty of room for hundreds of guests at the ceremony site as well as at the reception tent.

There are mules that wear harnesses to carry beverages around during cocktail hour, a ton of open space for guests to wander and enjoy the river and wooded areas.

The areas for getting ready are fancy yurts which were cool for unique photos.

Taylor, Keith and their adorable baby, Miko

Our photo sessions together have changed so much over the years that I’ve known Taylor. From taking photos in her home with 3 dogs and 3 cats, here we are today! Baby Miko slept on our drive up the mountain in Nederland and was happy most of the shoot until the end as expected. Taylor and Keith are such incredible parents already! It has been beautiful to witness their love for Miko.

Scream Inspired Photoshoot near Boulder, CO

Jessie and Remy wanted to do a scream inspired photoshoot for Halloween time and I was so excited for it. Colorado school of Mines campus was perfect for the spooky urban feel we were going for.

Headshot Photographer in Denver

Headshot Photographer in Denver-

Kevin went through a career change recently and needed new headshots. For these photos, he wanted a few different looks, so we planned to go to an urban location and one in Golden with more mountains and nature.

Our first stop in Denver was near the RiNo district where we found murals and brick walls. After this, we drove to Golden and hiked near Windy Saddle Overlook to get these mountain view, nature photos. There is a trail that leads into the pine trees as well as an overlook facing west that shows a lot of the mountains.

Ray and Kayla’s wedding was on a gorgeous summer afternoon at Copper Leaf Garden’s in Broomfield. This venue has since closed, but it made for a lovely wedding space with gardens, a nice cocktail patio and space for many guests.

Even though it wasn’t a particularly high end venue, we were able to find creative areas for photos to make the day look as lovely as it was. The garden area was perfect for lush green photos. Sometimes being a bit restricted in terms of what the location has to offer can make me think more creatively and come up with less traditional poses and ideas for the day. This is nice because the photos are unique and I’m able to think about new things in terms of what kind of photos to capture.

A few other location options in Broomfield are Cottonwood Lodge, and Church Ranch Event Center
