Wedding Photographer in Boulder, CO at the Junkyard

Meghann and Matt’s reception at the Junkyard in Boulder.

The junkyard is a unique spot for a wedding reception. It’s a non-profit organization with an indoor coffee shop, bar, lots of open seating and an outdoor playground for kids and adults! This venue hosts concerts and is open daily as a coffee shop and hang out area. I had always driven by and seen the space wanting to visit and I was excited when Meghann emailed me about the reception!

They invited their friends and family for drinks, a buffet dinner and music and dancing. The venue is spacious outside for group photos and has beautiful decor inside that shows all kinds of unique art and expression. As a former art student, I loved this aspect.

There were so many things to interact with and explore in the junkyard area.

Whether you want a big wedding or a small and non-traditional wedding, do what makes you happy and allows for the most peace in your life. Meghann and Matt were able to relax and spend time with their guests because they set it up that way! I’ll always encourage my clients to do what their hearts tell them to do in order to celebrate their love with others.

Brainard Lake Wedding Photographer in Colorado

Christina and Austin’s elopement at Brainard Lake in Colorado was a stormy evening that made for beautiful skies. We saw a moose right before their first look and we took it as a sign of good luck.

This was a lovely location for dramatic views, quiet places for vows and it’s all just a short walk from the parking lot. These two traveled in from out of state and weren’t acclimated to the elevation, so this location was ideal to have the scenic views without needing to exert themselves.

After a short ceremony in an open area, we walked around to enjoy the views and took lots of couples photos. The best things about this location: mountain views, an alpine lake, walking distance from your car, quiet and beautiful!

Event Photographer in Boulder

The Community Food Share in Lousiville hosted an event at Left Hand Brewing over the summer to feature local businesses and artists. There were many performances by local bands singers and they were all incredible!

Below is the band, Chimbangle, which describes themselves as a high energy, Latin band.

Hazel Miller performed and they were incredible as always!

There were booths to purchase t-shirts from the food share, face painting by Katrina, drinks and food to sample and lots of dancing all day of course.

Courthouse Wedding Photographer in Boulder

Kat and Coury’s elopement day at the Boulder courthouse and Chautauqua was beautiful. Judge Larson was wonderful about making the ceremony personal with some quick details of their love story.

The Boulder courthouse has some lovely photo spots despite it being a court building! On a Wednesday afternoon, it wasn’t busy in the halls and made for a great day to get married!

At Chautauqua, the grass and wildflowers in the mountains were gorgeous. I love taking my couples around Chautauqua to see these great views and find some shade in the afternoon. 2 hours was a perfect amount of time for 2 locations and to get all of the photos they wanted.
