The Dreaming Table is an event curated and facilitated by Nyasha to allow creation and invite play without expectations or pressure. Everything is thoughtfully curated by Nyasha and her attention to detail was prominent throughout the day. Each attendee was given a tote bag with snacks for the day, a journal and laminated paper with prompts on them. As Nyasha prompted activities, meditations and discussions, I captured photos of it all.
These kinds of events are wonderful for promoting your own offerings and to have documented. Photos and video brings ideas and gatherings to another level afterwards.
I’ve been excited about creating GIF’s lately and was intrigued by the light and shadows in the water while everyone swam. This was a special event to document and I was honored to be there as a witness.

The day began with a meditation and journal prompts to reflect and set an intention for the day. This was a special moment. Everyone shared some of their first memories of joy in their lives and the first moment they recalled feeling peace.
Next, the group was invited to create collages that would be glued to a home-made ceramic magnet. The process that each person used was interesting as they chose different materials from books, magazines and scraps of fabric. This creation process had no need to be perfect, just to attempt a creation.
There was a mini scavenger hunt led throughout the space to find 4 treasure boxes. Each treasure box contained different items and some prompts to discuss. Some contained crystals and essential oils, and things to activate creative expression and just enjoyment of the senses.
Finally, everyone met in the pool area to pull a tarot card and journal on the meanings and interpretations of the card. When everyone was ready, they began swimming and doing a sort of ecstatic swim/dance to music that Nyasha was playing.
The light and shadows in the pool were mesmerizing. Being able to witness such free movement from everyone here was beautiful.
