Headshot Photographer in Boulder, CO

I asked Audrey how she wanted to feel in her photos. She told me, joyous and playful. So we met at her home to frolick around outside while she hugged some trees, rolled in the grass and plucked some dandelions to make wishes on. We ended the session in her son’s bedroom. She said this room resembled her dream bedroom when she was a child. She played with toys there and let herself be in tune with her inner child.

This session reinvigorated creativity and authenticity within me and my work. It reminded me that each session needs to be customized to each person. Everyone has different interests, styles and personalities which are all reflected in their photos. Even though there are some beautiful places in Boulder to take photos, I believe that choosing a location based on significance or that you feel comfortable in is important too. Because we were in Audrey’s home, she already felt some relief about the daunting task of having photos taken. It can be very intimidating! So choosing a location where you feel safe is a big factor.

I want you to look and feel like yourself, not like everyone else or the way you think you should look.

If you need new headshots or even environmental portraits like this to document this time of your life, send me an email! I’d love to document you.
