Lake Isabelle Sunrise Hike in Colorado

Lake Isabelle - Indian Peaks Wilderness

I woke up at 3:45am for this hike. I drove to Ward while listening to Clozee’s new song “Falling in Love” and thought about how grateful I am to live in Colorado and be able to go for sunrise hikes on Friday mornings.

It was only 45 degrees when I started hiking, but it got warmer quickly. I got to the lake just as the sun was coming up and changing color on the mountains. I only saw 1 other person on the way up to the lake on this hike and loved all the color along the way.

Boulder, Creek - Colorado 4th of July

There’s been a lot of rain in Boulder lately and the creek has been higher than usual for the summer. We decided we wanted to cross the creek to hang our hammocks and relax on this little island for the day. Luckily, Danny, Nikhil and Colin are more adventurous than Amber and I and they convinced us to walk across this creek to hang out. It was SO worth it. Happy 4th!!
