Rocky Mountain National Park Lake Hikes - Dream Lake & Emerald Lake

August 10th, 2019

I had been to Dream lake once in October of 2018. It was a foggy, rainy/snowy day. The visibility was only as good as about 20 feet in front of me. Going back to this lake and up to Emerald Lake in August of 2019, I got to see the mountains in the distance that I had never seen before! I loved this difference in weather patterns and season.

These lakes are great hikes to get to with stunning views and beautiful at any time of the year.

Rocky Mountain National Park - Gem Lake

Rocky Mountain National Park Day Hike to Gem Lake - August 2019

This was my first trip to the Rockies this summer. I bought an annual park pass earlier in July and wanted to start getting more use out of it for the rest of summer. This place is amazing. I’ve been to the Rockies a few times since I was 12 years old and I always want to go back and explore more of this park. My goal is to go back a few more times before September :)

Southwest Colorado Road trip

My parents have always taken my sister and I on vacations every July. Our trips varied from driving to Northern Minnesota from Iliinois or driving 2,000 miles from Illinois to Glacier National Park in Montana when I was about 8 years old. Years later, we occasionally made trips out to the Rocky Mountains, but it had been at least 4 years since we were all out West again. This year, although we weren’t all together, my parents drove out to Colorado and met me in Boulder. We left for a week long trip through Southwest Colorado. This is a collection of images from this trip through the Great Sand Dunes, historic Durango, Mesa Verde National Park, Black Canyon of the Gunnison and Breckenridge. It was incredible to spend a week straight with my parents. Since I moved away from home, we hardly ever get to spend so much time together. It was so important and meaningful to me.

Go tell someone you love and appreciate them today :)

Boulder, Creek - Colorado 4th of July

There’s been a lot of rain in Boulder lately and the creek has been higher than usual for the summer. We decided we wanted to cross the creek to hang our hammocks and relax on this little island for the day. Luckily, Danny, Nikhil and Colin are more adventurous than Amber and I and they convinced us to walk across this creek to hang out. It was SO worth it. Happy 4th!!

Denver Wedding Photographer - Brown Palace Wedding

May 11th, 2019 - Julia and Ryan's Denver, Brown Palace Wedding

I was second shooting this wedding with Hannah Simpson and only interacted with Julia and Ryan for about 6 hours. Their entire wedding guest count only included 37 people. They truly wanted their closest friends and family to experience the day with them. Their parents and friends were so welcoming and kind. Everyone had great things to say about Ryan and Julia together. From this short time being with everyone, I felt like I knew Ryan and Julia so well. They both talked with me about how my day was going, how I was feeling with my photography growth and working with Hannah. It was so nice of them to take time to connect with Hannah and I. It’s easy to see how much love they have for each other and for other people in their lives.
